Christians admire prayer warriors. Perhaps you know one. Perhaps you are one!
The Bible admonishes worriers.
Sometimes, subtly under the guise of faith, we pray to give expression to worry.
Put them side by side, peel back the veneer; ponder your place.

Prayer Worriers
|
1. “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything with prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God” Phil 4:6 | 1. Prayer becomes an acceptable platform to fret and expend emotional energy. |
2. “Casting all your cares on Him, for He cares for you” I Peter 5:7 | 2.You attempt to sound spiritual or “holy” in order to “do it right” before God. |
3. “Commit your way to the Lord, trust in Him and He will do it.” Psalm 37:5 | 3. You attempt to “educate” or inform God in your prayers. |
4. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight” Proverbs 3:5-6 | 4. You figure if you bother God long enough, He’ll finally see it your way, and give you the preferred answer. |
5. “In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus” I Thessalonians 5:18 | 5. Understandably, you spend a five to one ratio in petition verses gratitude. |
6. “Not one of all the LORD's good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled” Joshua 21:45 | 6. You grow impatient, begin to doubt, and feel God’s promises have an expiration date. |
7. “Seek first His kingdom and all these things will be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 |
7. You say you want His will above all, but still try to figure out a way to get yours. |
