Overheard Over There

Executing diverse ministry in 6 nations and 9 states this past year, catch some encouraging quotes I heard with varying accents.  (Various negative comments… well, we’ll conveniently wait to share another time….) 

-Kentucky: “The Lord spoke to me through your messages.”
-Unbeliever in Spain: “I find myself compelled by your speaking.” 
-Retreat participant in Spain: “This teaching is like a well-reasoned commentary.”  
-Skeptical attender in Spain: “I came with disinterest, I’m not leaving the same way!”
-Foreign students in India: “Come teach this in my country to our leaders.”  
-Faculty in India: “When you come here, it’s so easy for us to work together.”
-Radio in Tonga: “Let’s re-record your teaching to replay on radio…”  
-Seminar attender in Tonga: “Please come address a student assembly at the High School where I teach.”
-Assembly in New Zealand: “We’re going to take an offering to help you in other parts of the world.”
-Guatemala: “Somos un equipo, we are a team.”
-Local pastor in Guatemala:  “You are always welcome here.  It’s your home!”
-Hawaii: “Nobody sleeps in your preaching!”
-Workshop in Pennsylvania: “This was relevant, practical, and helpful.  I will use it!”
-Preaching meetings in North Carolina:  “I can’t wait to come back each night.”
-North Carolina:  “I have been close to the cross for fifty years.  Now, I mean business.”
-Planning future ministry in Thailand:  “You are always in my mind to use for teaching.”
-Indiana: “Wow!”
